SAVE THE DATE!
Steinbeck Festival - Steinbeck and Mexico
August 7 - 10, 2008
Over a third of John Steinbeck's work is either set in Mexico or features characters of Mexican descent. From 1932 until the mid-1950s, he wrote often about the environment, history, culture and politics of Mexico.
This year's festival will explore Steinbeck's regard for Mexico in broad cultural contexts. Presentations will address not only the impact of Mexican culture on his work, but also key components of that heritage. Please save the dates to join us for this exciting Festival. We hope to see you there!
If you are not already a member, please contact admin@steinbeck.org to be added to the festival mailing list.
