Join us for our first ever “History Slam”! It will be a fun and engaging opportunity to explore the rich and unique history of the Monterey Bay area. Visitors can listen to the presentations for free!

Groups or individuals will be presenting a 10-15 minute talk or video about Monterey County history across six categories: women, agriculture, fishing, culture, bandits, and science.
Cash awards will be given at the end of the day to the best, most creative, and informative presentations! The National Steinbeck Center is currently accepting submissions for the “History Slam.” The deadline to submit presentations is April 18, 2018.
