“Celebrate John Steinbeck's 110th birthday with a Community Free Day for Monterey County Residents.

The day will include performances by Ballet Folklorico and by the Youth Orchestra Salinas. We will also have children’s activities including story-telling, face-painting and an art activity. We will be featuring baked goodies from local Salinas bakeries.
Activities are designed to celebrate John Steinbeck's love for diverse cultures and for the arts, while paying tribute to his literary legacy. There will be family activities, reading circles and more - and of course some birthday cake!
Lastly, we will have a proclamation by Assemblyman Luis Alejo at 12.
All activities included with regular admission for non-residents.”
