Al Weber has taught well over 10,000 students (and counting!) in workshops and classrooms throughout the West as an instructor for Monterey Peninsula College, the Friends of Photography, the University of California at Santa Cruz, and the celebrated Ansel Adams Workshop series in Yosemite. During the beginning and the end of Holy Week 2011, Al Weber led two photographic workshop sessions each consisting of one dozen photography instructors and assistants with twenty-five students in each. In keeping with the tradition of the two previous projects and exhibitions, Mission Soledad (2007) and Mission San Miguel (2009), this year the National Steinbeck Center will have on view a portfolio of 52 magnificent photographs of Mission San Antonio de Padua; including a 10-minute video documentary of the project compiled by photographer Anthony Mournian.
