“Mixed Nutz,” choreographed by world-renowned choreographer Tandy Beal, is an adventurous take on the traditional Nutcracker performance. Beal’s knowledge of how to combine different art forms to create a seamless performance is one of kind. With 65 performers, including jugglers, acrobats, and clowns, “Mixed Nutz” has been described as a world-class circus performance backed with costumes that rival Cirque Du Soleil. Providing the engine that makes the show go is the magnificent six-voice a cappella vocal group SoVoSo, who add lovely textures to the action on stage when they’re not re-inventing the beautiful and familiar melodies of “The Nutcracker” and other carols.
