These exhibitions will explore various works of arts collected by the City of Salinas during the 1960s through the 1980s.  The collection is an impressive endeavor by the City to bring arts to its community through its public buildings and other exterior sites.  Come to the National Steinbeck Center and enjoy the local art through the end of 2013.

When we speak of Salinas and the idea of “Home” we often think of a beloved local friend and art teacher named Joseph Bragdon. Many in the community took his art & photography classes at Hartnell College. He inspired students to see life through the visual arts. He taught everyone to never stop being creative as a human endeavor.
