On Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the National Steinbeck Center will celebrate John Steinbeck’s 109th birthday with a free day for Monterey County residents.

All activities for that day are included with regular admission for non-county residents. The activities are designed to celebrate John Steinbeck’s love for diverse cultures and for the arts, while paying tribute to his literary legacy.

Enjoy family activities, author talks and book signings, reading circles, cultural presentations and more! And, of course, cake will be served.
