The National Steinbeck Center is proud to offer free admission from January 2nd through January 8 with a variety of free activities throughout the week.
Tuesday, January 2nd – Tour of Historic Downtown Salinas
Free tour of Historic Downtown Salinas with NSC docent John Mahoney. Learn about the area’s rich history and connections to John Steinbeck’s works.
Meet at the front of the Steinbeck Center at 1PM and bring your walking shoes!
Wednesday, January 3rd – Director’s Tour
Director’s Tour with Susan Shillinglaw. Explore the John Steinbeck Exhibit Hall with renowned Steinbeck scholar and NSC Director Susan Shillinglaw at 1PM.
Thursday, January 4th – Archives Tours with Lisa Josephs
Archives Tours with Lisa Josephs. Archivist Lisa Josephs will display a few items from the NSC’s archives at 1PM.
Friday, January 5th – “Women’s Work” Exhibit Reception
Quilt Reception. We are launching out new exhibit space with an exhibit on quilts. Join us and meet local quilt artist at 5PM.
Saturday, January 6th – Children’s Scavenger Hunt
Scavenger Hunt. We have revamped our scavenger hunt. Explore the exhibit hall for a chance to win items!
Sunday, January 7th – Museum Store Sale
Sale at the Steinbeck Center Museum Store. Made a resolution to read more in 2018? Stock up on books and other items in our museum store. Enjoy 10% off your purchase from 10AM to 5PM (excludes collector’s corner & consignment items)
